FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in life support systems. Initial components: potassium superoxide and calcium oxide, or magnesium, or mix thereof, are mixed to produce homogeneous blend. Prior to mixing the components, potassium superoxide is thermally treated for 4-6 h at 140-160 °C. Produced blend is tableted or granulated.
EFFECT: higher quality of product for air regeneration, increased period of isolating breathing apparatus operation.
