FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of preparing organic solvents involves fermentolysis of ground plant material until a sugar solution is obtained by treatment with enzymes. The obtained sugars are fermented on culturing medium using bacterial which produce butanol, acetone and ethanol. Organic solvents and gases formed during fermentation are distilled and the end products are extracted. Fermentolysis of the plant material and fermentation of sugars is carried at the same time and the rate of both process is kept equal. Average solvent productivity of the process equals 7-8.3 g/l/day. Output of solvents from sugars equals 27-35%. Output of sugars from the material used is 14-18%.
EFFECT: shorter, simpler and cheaper process.
