SUBSTANCE: device comprises bush covering side surface of model with bottom cavity and made of segments, and polymer shell, covering bush and contacting with surface of shaft channel. External side surface of bush is arranged as conical, its larger base is directed towards fore body of model. Length of bush is equal or is more than depth of bottom cavity of model. Weights of bush and shell are selected from the ratio of , where D is diametre of shaft, m; d is diametre of midship section of sub-calibre model, m; m₁, m₂, m₃ are weights of sub-calibre model, bush and shell accordingly.

EFFECT: invention provides for high-speed throwing of models with thin wall of bottom cavity and increases information value of performed experiments by means of expansion of model flight speeds range at the section of registration in a single experiment due to reduction of its weight.
