SUBSTANCE: users are classified into a first user group whose transmission must be separately planed for MIMO transmission, and a second user group whose transmission may be jointly planed for MIMO transmission. Transmission resources are allocated to the first and second groups based on different criteria. Transmission resources may include HARQ sequences, frequency channels, bandwidth-time resources etc. A HARQ scheme with cut-off may be used to transmit user data to the first group and a HARQ scheme without cut-off may be used to transmit user data to the second group.

EFFECT: efficient support for MIMO transmission in a multi-access wireless system.
