SUBSTANCE: pre-word (PW) and synchro-word (SW) are used to establish synchronisation or SW alone is used to establish synchronisation with the state of a process relating to synchronisation in a mobile wireless communication device. For example, during initial synchronisation with the received control channel (110), PW and SW are used to establish synchronisation when the calculation result in the synchronisation calculation unit exceeds a given threshold value only once. During initial synchronisation with the received direct communication channel, PW and SW are used to establish synchronisation when the calculation result exceeds a given threshold value once; or alternatively, only SW is used to establish synchronisation when the calculation result exceeds a given threshold value twice successively.
EFFECT: higher synchronisation accuracy.
