FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: set of inventions relates to production of ceramic filtration device intended for filtration of melted metal. Proposed device comprises large ceramic phase in amount of at least 50 parts by weight, and smaller carbon phase in amount of 1 to 15 parts by weight bound by phosphate bond in amount of 1 to 15 parts by weight. Note here that large ceramic phase comprises aluminium oxide, zirconium dioxide, zircon, silicon dioxide, magnesium dioxide, any type of clay, talcum, mica, silicon, carbide, silicon nitride or mix thereof. There are two versions of device fabrication and use for melted steel filtration.
EFFECT: possibility to produce mechanically strong filtration devices with preset properties and reproducible characteristics.
