FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agents obtained by treating water with metal ions and having bacteriostatic action. The agent can also be used in veterinary to improve animal health. Gold trace concentrations in drinking water range from 0.00004 to 0.0005 mg/l. Gold trace concentrations from 0.00016 to 0.0005 mg/l can be used to inhibit growth of microflora in water.
EFFECT: drinking water with said gold trace concentrations provides maximum useful properties - preservation of bacteriostatic action with simultaneous reduction in concentration of gold ions, which ensures minimum risk for human and animal health.
