FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: lens with variable focal distance according to invention contains rim with anterior and posterior surfaces, flexible membrane, fastened between anterior surface of rim and rigid transparent anterior wall, and posterior wall, fastened to posterior surface of rim. Between flexible membrane and posterior wall cavity, which is filled with liquid is formed, and liquid amount, which is in cavity, can change in order to change curvature of flexible membrane and, in such way, change lens optical properties. Second flexible membrane, placed between posterior wall and rim, is possible. Lens rim can be coloured, transparent, half-transparent or non-transparent. In other version, decorative covering, which produces look of lining, can be fastened to anterior part of rim.
EFFECT: simplification of construction and production of lens with variable focal distance and glasses, in which such lens are applied.
