FLUID-FILLED LENSES DRIVE Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC G02B3/14

Abstract RU 2694072 C2

FIELD: optics.

SUBSTANCE: drive mechanism for simultaneous drive of lenses with variable focal distance, each of which comprises a membrane with a possibility of swelling, limiting a cavity filled with a fluid medium, wherein the focal distance varies depending on the membrane curvature as it swells. At that, the drive mechanism comprises a hydraulic master unit device connected by means of a fluid medium with a hydraulic slave unit device connected to the first lens, and with hydraulic slave unit device connected to second lens, wherein each slave unit device is configured to apply force to the associated lens to change the degree of inflation of the membrane of the associated lens in response to actuation of the master unit device, wherein the drive slave units are hydraulically connected to the master unit device for driving the slave unit devices by transmitting driving force from the master unit device to the slave unit devices, and master unit device is configured to be actuated so as to cause simultaneous change of blister degree of membranes of first and second lenses. Each hydraulic slave drive unit is configured to change the degree of inflation of the membrane of the associated lens in response to actuation of the master unit device by applying force to the control ring to control the bend attached to the periphery of the membrane.

EFFECT: invention relates to optics, particularly to variofocal optical systems.
