FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: wide-band dipole antenna (WDA) consists of two symmetrical arms (SA) (1, 1'), a screening element (SE) (2) and a feeder (3) connected to the arms (1) of the WDA. The arms (1) of the WDA are in form of isosceles triangles having height HA and vertex angle α, connected to the feeder (3). The SE (2) is in form of two isosceles triangles placed symmetrically on both sides of the arms (1, 1'). The arms (1) of the WDA and SE (2) are plate-like and lie in the same plane. Each triangle, which forms the SE (2) has height HE, the length of the base DE and vertex angle β, is adjacent to points of connection of the arms (1, 1') to the feeder (3), where these vertices are electrically connected. Ratios of the structure for which the maximum working range of the WDA is achieved are given.
EFFECT: reduced overall dimensions, with preservation of electrical parametres.
