FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: terminal generates sequence of scrambling on the basis of its information of pilot signal. Pilot signal information can be used with the terminal during the whole period of telephone call and for all the sectors with which the terminal keeps communication during the telephone call. Terminal generates symbols of pilot signal on the basis of scrambling sequence, converts those symbols of pilot signal to CDMA segment, generates OFDM symbols with converted symbols of pilot signal and transmits OFDM symbols to one or more sectors. Base station processes the received OFDM symbols for obtaining the received symbols for CDMA segment. Base station generates scrambling sequence on the basis of pilot signal information for the terminal and performs the processing of received symbols by using the scrambling sequence for obtaining at least one parametre (for example the level of the received signal) for the terminal.
EFFECT: increasing transmission efficiency of pilot signals.
