SUBSTANCE: terminal can send a second transmission (for example for a pilot signal or signalling) over a return communication line, receive feedback (for example, a power control command or cancellation indicator) for the first transmission, and regulate the power reference level based on the feedback. The terminal can also receive interference information and possibly other parametres such as a pilot signal quality indicator (PQI), shifting coefficient and amplification constant from the sector. The terminal can determine transmission power for the second transmission to the sector based on information on interference, reference power level and/or other parametres. The terminal can receive feedback from one sector and can send a second transmission with CDMA or OFDMA to the same sector or another sector.

EFFECT: reduced interference and achieving high terminal efficiency.
