FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and can be used for combined working of materials by bound abrasive. Proposed method comprises feeding the workpiece in lengthwise direction to stroke depth and revolving feeding abrasive wheel in crosswise direction. Hardening is performed by ice-water jet formed in ice-water tool secured on abrasive wheel case to be fed therewith. Said tool represents a case with mixing chamber accommodating water jet-forming nozzle arranged along chamber lengthwise axis to receive high-pressure fluid via union and pipeline. Liquid nitrogen is fed in said nozzle carried by high-pressure water jet to produce ice particles for final formation of suspension ice-water jet.
EFFECT: higher efficiency, quality of products and tool reliability.
