FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: for diagnosis of ventilator-associated tracheobronchitis in newborns, there are evaluated leukocyte count, neutrophils-macrophague interaction (NMI) in sputum, accessory muscles involvement, observed tachycardia, tachypnea, remote rattling, pulmonary auscultation rattling, oxygen dependence, cough, time of normalising oxygen saturation, expectoration length to be appraised by points. If total score is less than 7, the mild severity level is diagnosed; total score within 8 to 22 shows the moderate level, while total score being 23-31 provides the severe level.
EFFECT: more precise diagnosis of ventilator-associated tracheobronchitis in newborns underwent artificial pulmonary ventilation.
