FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: part of the scanned area is marked as a priority part in which high-speed targets may appear, and energy which is sufficient for detecting targets with given probability is spent scanning said part. The other part of the scanned area is scanned while skipping probing of separate angular directions either with low concentration of energy or low detection threshold or in passive mode in frequency range of external radioelectronic equipment or using known active response systems, where information from previous scanning periods is used.
EFFECT: avoiding the problem of pulsed scarcity in scanning radar stations while maintaining the range of detecting targets in all parts of the scanning area.
