FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: for simulating a combined burning injury, a burn is applied on skin of experimental animals, particularly of rats under ether narcosis. In addition, thermal inhalation exposure to hot air and combustion products is applied for 20-30 seconds in the inhalation chamber environment with a foreface placed towards a combustion source at height 10-12 cm.
EFFECT: method provides an adequate simulation of the combined burning injury corresponding to clinical manifestations of thermal and inhalation injury causing the development of respiratory distress syndrome and burn disease that allows to choose further optimal therapeutic approach.
