METHOD OF ESTIMATING TIME OF PERSON'S EMERGENCY RESPONSE TO MOVING OBJECT Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC A61B5/16

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and is intended for estimation of time of person's emergency response to moving object. Tested person is shown on videomonitor screen a circumference in which point object is moving at set rate and mark whose position is set in a random manner in circumference sector from αmin to αmax. Mark is shown at the moment when angular position of point object reaches value αp.ob., which is calculated depending on set time t, necessary for movement of point object from current to set mark position. At the moment of supposed convergence of moving point object position with mark tested person stops movement of point object by pressing "Stop" button. Error of non-convergence of point object and mark is calculated - time of lag error with positive sign or advance error with negative sign. Described procedure is repeated specified number of times and estimation of response time Tr is calculated as average value of lag errors and advance errors. Experiment is repeated with t values changing from 0.1 to 0.6 s. Graph of function Tr=f (t) is built, point where graph becomes plateau is found. Time of person's emergency response to moving object is taken equal to value of response time Tr in point where graph becomes plateau.

EFFECT: method allows to estimate time of person's emergency response to moving object due to random change of mark position.
