FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, in particular to oncology and radiotherapy. ELISA analysis of blood serum sampled before treatment, during which levels of content of tissue inhibitors of matrix metalloproteinases TIMP-1 and TIMP-2 is carried out, and if TIMP-1 level is lower than 133.5 ng/ml and TIMP-2 level is lower than 88.4 ng/ml, radiotherapy is estimated as efficient, if TIMP-1 level is higher than 193.2 ng/ml and TIMP-2 level is higher than 125.9 ng/ml - absence of response to radiotherapy of squamous cell carcinomas of head and neck.
EFFECT: method ensures increase of efficiency of treatment of patients with malignant neoplasms of head and neck.
