FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and aims at maintaining a stable position of an intraocular lens for iridovitreal fixation following complicated extracapsular or intracapsular cataract extraction in removal of age-related and traumatic cataract. Nodes are formed on an optical cylinder between front and back haptic elements. The node sequence on an intraocular lens is presented by two nodes: the first node is double, and the second is single. The intraocular lens is fixed with a loop suture spaced 3 mm from an iris edge that does not restricts diaphragm function of the iris, does not cause suture cutting through a pupillary edge of the iris and facilitates surgeon's suturing manipulations.
EFFECT: method provides stable position of the lens for iridovitreal fixation in an eye.
