SUBSTANCE: piston expansion machine includes cylinder with piston and exhaust windows, inlet nozzle, cover of cylinder, self-acting normally open inlet valve with shut-off element, spring-loaded lift stop fixed between lift stop and valve plate in lower part of cylinder cover and guide screws. Upper part of cylinder cover is equipped with push rod providing the movement of lift stop of shut-off element of inlet valve relative to valve plate.

EFFECT: increasing operating efficiency of piston expansion machine with varying compressed gas pressures at the inlet.
