FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming, particularly to forging presses intended for production of long billets. Proposed die hammer comprises bed with struts furnished with guides accommodating hammer head. Plate with hydraulic cylinders is mounted on said struts. Piston is coupled with hammer head by tie rod. Hydraulic cylinder rod end communicated with high-pressure liquid source. Piston end communicates intermittently with said source via pressure and main line valves and two-way hydraulic control valves, and with drain tank via drain valve. Hammer is furnished with two check valves and hydraulic compensator. The latter is communicated with first check valve pressure section and second check valve shut-off section to allow fluid feed therefrom at evacuation of piston end or hammer head downward stroke. First of said valves has its shut-off section communicated with hydraulic cylinder piston end, while second valve pressure section communicated with said piston end. Check main valve shut-off section communicates with rod end.
EFFECT: increased service life, expanded operating performances.
