FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: speed of propagation of pulse waves on muscular arteries (SPWm) and an integral modulus of elasticity of an arterial bed (Eo) are studied in the beginning of a gestational period to 20 weeks of pregnancy. If the SPWm values exceed 7 m/s, the Eo values exceed 1000 [din/cm5], a high risk of persistent blood pressure increase over a period of pregnancy is predicted.

EFFECT: method extends the range of products for predicting the development of persistent blood pressure increase over a period of pregnancy in women with primary hypertension.
