FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: design of bone flap retainer includes movable and fixed discs and pin. The movable disc is round and has a convex surface, a threaded hole in the central area under the pin and two through holes for pivots of the moving device. The fixed disc is round and is made as a whole with the pin located in its central part. The movable disc contains at least four cross-cutting radial grooves with length of 53÷55% of the radius of movable disc and the width of the movable disc of 10.5÷13.5% of radius of the movable disc, forming spring-loaded petals. The fixed disc has a nib, and is additionally provided with a second nib placed on the end diametre of the fixed disc opposite to the first nib; together with the first nib it has a function of bone flap fixation. The fixed disc is provided with at least six cross-cutting radial grooves with a length of 53÷55% of the radius of the fixed disc and the width of 10.5÷3.5% of the radius of the fixed disc, forming spring-loaded petals.

EFFECT: improved fixation of the mating surfaces of the bone flap and its substitute, and bone of the skull.
