FIELD: veterinary science.
SUBSTANCE: method includes introduction of probiotic containing cultures of bifidus bacteria, streptococci and bacteria Bacillus subtilis into digestive tract of suckling piglets. Daily dose of probiotic prior to feeding is introduced into 5-10 ml of solution, including 84.3-89.5% decoction of witloof chicory, 10-15% of glucose and 0.5-0.7% of ascorbic acid and having temperature of 15-20°C. Solution is bottle-fed to piglets individually in amount of 5-10 ml per head per day in 1-2 stages daily for 10-15 days.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to stimulate healthy microflora of intestine and to increase average daily growth of live mass of piglets.
