FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: alternating current signal is sent at one end of the track to be registered at opposite end and compared with threshold voltage magnitudes of occupancy and unoccupancy determined with due allowance for insulance. Given threshold magnitude exceeds current magnitude track is considered occupied, while current magnitude exceeding threshold magnitude signals about free track. Insulance is determined allowing for e.m.f. in coils of current tapped off auxiliary generator.
EFFECT: increased length of controlled track, higher shunt sensitivity reduced permissible insulance.
