FIELD: transport, package.

SUBSTANCE: container to carry and store harmful substances, e.g. chlorine, comprises cylindrical housing and two face elements. The latter are welded to the housing to make container operated under pressure. Face elements have peripheral edge deepened inside the housing relative to housing edges to protect welded seam against impacts. Configuration of jointed elements makes a lapped joint that can be made by bias welding. Note that container housing thickness and inside pressure are determined by the following formula: where P is container operating inside pressure, S is tolerable strain of container material, R is distance from container axis to its inner surface, t is thickness of tubular housing. Housing minimum thickness and container operating pressure are related by formula, wherein E is efficiency of welded joint.

EFFECT: lower costs.
