SUBSTANCE: invention relates to systems for detecting objects by reflecting radio waves from the surface of said objects and can be used in radio location to detect signals belonging to one target. The method of detecting signals belonging to one target involves emission of electromagnetic waves towards a target, receiving signals reflected from the target, performing narrow-band filtration of component frequencies of the Doppler spectrum of the reflected signal, measuring Doppler frequency Δfi of each spectrum component of the reflected signal on the filter number, determining angular coordinates Δφi of each spectrum component of the reflected signal, determining velocity of each point using the expression , where λ is the wavelength of the emitted signal, comparing the obtained velocity values of each shinning point of the detected signal in accordance with the expression ΔVi=|Vi-Vi+1|, if ΔVi≤U, where U is the threshold value, the signals belong to one target. The device which realises the method has an indicator and series-connected antenna, radar set, frequency analyser, n units for measuring angular coordinates, a computer, an indicator, connected to each other in a certain way. Each unit for measuring angular coordinates has series-connected amplitude detector, error signal amplifier and error signal detector.
