FIELD: transport, package.
SUBSTANCE: proposed container relates to safety devices intended for transportation of radioactive materials, particularly, nuclear fuel powder. Container has detachable cover and bottom with their conical sections jointed to housing necks. The shape of the latter mates that of cover and bottom. Container housing is made from inner and outer metal layers with impact absorbing layer made from reinforcing material arranged there between. Housing layers get thickening toward its faces. Outer layer incorporates support elements. Surfaces of joint between cover and bottom have grooves to house sealing gaskets.
EFFECT: higher container efficiency and reliability in transportation of radioactive material.
