FIELD: physics, nuclear.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to treatment of liquid radioactive wastes. A filter with a selective sorbent is put into a container with a cement non-radioactive compound which acts as a radiation screen. After expiration of the filter when taking it for burial without regeneration together with the protection (filter-container), a thin portland cement suspension is pumped through the filter with selective sorbent with water to cement ratio not less than 10 (including prepared based on liquid radioactive wastes) for cementing the spent sorbent in the monolith.
EFFECT: high reliability of fixing radio nuclides in spent selective sorbents, reduced radiation hazard for personnel when dismantling, transporting and burying spent filter-containers.
