FIELD: processing of liquid radioactive wastes.
SUBSTANCE: waste radioactive ion-exchange resins are dried at temperature of 268-302°C, are mechanically dispersed in shaping polymer matrix to particle size of 0.18-0.63 mm and placed in final package - 200-liter barrel for radioactive wastes, ratio of dehydrated spent radioactive ion-exchange resins and polymer matrix ranges from 2:1 to 3:1 vol%.
EFFECT: invention increases processibility of the process of processing spent radioactive ion-exchange resins, the transfer of liquid radioactive wastes into solid radioactive wastes, reduce weight, volume and moisture content of radioactive wastes, ensure transfer of spent radioactive ion-exchange resins into a mold suitable for safe transportation, storage and burial without increasing volume of radioactive wastes.
