FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods and device intended for electromagnetic plasma separation of isotopes. Proposed method comprises producing quasi-neutral axially symmetric plasma flow with mean radius R by means of plasma accelerator, transfer of plasma via azimuth system with radial magnetic field, transfer of weight-separated plasma flow via separating chamber with stationary radial electric field and homogeneous constant lengthwise magnetic field to magnetise electrons without affecting isotope ions dynamics, and collecting the latter on receivers. Ions are collected by mass M1 and M2 on ion receivers arranged on cylindrical surfaces with length LZmax≈(4-6)R of radii r1 and r2, while isotope ions of central mass M0=(M1+M2)/2 are collected on face receiver. Proposed device comprises azimuth system, magnetic coils, magnetic core, gas distributor with buffer chamber, plasma accelerator, anode, cathode, separating chamber, lengthwise magnetic field generator, and radial electric field generation system. Note here that plasma accelerator cathode is aligned with azimuth system pole.
EFFECT: mass separation of ions, expanded performances of plasma-optic mass-separator.
