FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: in device tubular shells are cut off from continuous shell passing though shell opening shaper. Also, the first wheels are designed for moving the shell along the shaper; the second external wheels are set after cutting off devices to damp each cut-off segment of the shell. The wheels are driven to rotation with coupled to them electric engines synchronously controlled by means of a programmed facility with a virtual shaft. The programmed facility is designed to determine a continuous profile of variation of speed of corresponding electric engines. Profiles have a shape of a bell and a common end section whereat profiles coincide and which corresponds to equality of electric engines speeds. Note, that length of the said section is chosen to ensure motion of the shell beyond the point of contact with the second wheels to grip the said shell with the second wheels prior to stationary retention for cutting and damping process.
EFFECT: improved shell positioning on shaper and raised efficiency.
