MAGNETIC RESONANCE DEVICE AND METHOD Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC G01R33/36

Abstract RU 2411528 C2

FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: magnetic resonance device has a main magnet for creating a stationary and essentially uniform main magnetic field in an analysed volume, a device with radio frequency coils for generating radio frequency fields in the analysed field and/or for receiving magnetic resonance signals from a body, where the device with radio frequency coils has multiple independent resonator elements which lie adjacent to each other in or near the analysed volume. Adjacent resonator elements are alternately tuned to one of the two or more different magnetic resonance frequencies. Each resonator element is connected to a separate signal transmission channel and/or signal reception channel of the magnetic resonance device, where the magnetic resonance device can also set parametres of the sequence of switched magnetic field gradients when needed, depending on image resolution for type of nuclei with lower gyromagnetic ratio and control parametres of the sequence of radio frequency pulses and the reception band of the magnetic resonance signals for both types of nuclei based on parametres of switched magnetic field gradients defined above.

EFFECT: possibility of designing a magnetic resonance device which can simultaneously work on resonance frequency of two more types of nuclei.
