FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machining methods, namely, to drilling of bores with application of vibrations on drilling tools. Constant and variable magnetic fields are use to affect spindle assembly with shaft, flexible elements and appliance to make tool reciprocate. Tool is vibrated and fed. Tool reciprocation is effected at vibration frequency of 500 to 2000 Hz. Note here that vibration amplitude is set equal to A1≤0.5SF, where SF is tool feed.
EFFECT: better bore shaping and bore surface quality, higher efficiency of machining and longer life of tool.
