FIELD: processes and tools for material cutting, namely drilling processes. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of imparting to tool and to part mutual relative rotation, feed motion and axial oscillations with amplitude selected according to condition providing continuous process. In order to decrease intensity of dynamic loads acting upon cutting tool and to increase its strength, amplitude of axial oscillation is determined according to condition of suppressing autooscillations according to given formula in dependence upon auto oscillation amplitude without axial oscillations and cosine of entering angle of drill. EFFECT: reduced dynamic loads acting upon drill, enhanced strength of drill.
