FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed cutter comprises body with multiple cutting plate seats and, at least, one cutting plate fitted in each seat that comprises main wall running radially outward from the body, sidewall perpendicular to main wall of the seat and unloading groove between them. Body additionally comprises top surface on its one end that includes first section perpendicular to main wall and second section perpendicular sidewall. Note here that top surface additionally comprises strain reduction device running from unloading groove to cross first and second sections and serves for reduction of strain in cutting tool in machining.
EFFECT: higher strength of cutting tool body.
