SUBSTANCE: single-sided insert comprises bottom surface, top surface, two and bottom surface, and recess formed at bottom surface and having shaped bore extending toward top surface. Note here that shaped bore has first thrust area at first side of lengthwise mid plane and second thrust area at second side of lengthwise mid plane. Note here that first and second thrust areas are opposed. Note also that recess is shaped so that to receive a screw from bottom surface to clamp one or second thrust surface. Note here that said recess comprises a groove extending between two larger side surfaces and long bottom surface. Cutting tool has at least one cutting section including insert seat with larger sidewall with threaded hole, single-sided insert and insert clamping screw.
EFFECT: enlarged number of inserts at cutting tools, easier replacement.
