FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to overhauling dual multilayer composite structures. Proposed method consists in overhauling composite material structure comprising first outer lining, first cellular inner layer, mid lining, second cellular inner layer and second outer lining. Note here that said method comprises replacement of sections of outer linings, mid lining and inner layers by new sections. Then, stiff pressure plate is placed on new section of the first outer lining and around it. Then, said plate is pressed against composite material structure. Then, new said sections of outer linings and mid lining are solidified. Prior to solidifying, mid lining is punctured to let air contained in first layer and second of inner part out.
EFFECT: reduced overhaul time with no deterioration in repair quality.
