SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry. Wire tread 2 comprises multiple extending blocks 3 divided into multiple elements 4 by cutouts 5 arranged across tire motion direction 6. Each element 4 has, at least, first lateral surface 7 separated by cutout 5 from second lateral surface of second lateral surface 8 of adjacent element 4 and having, at least, one first section 9, 9a and 9b inclined to direction of motion 6 to face second section 10, 10a and 10b of second surface. Discrepancy between aforesaid first and second sections (9, 10; 9a, 10a; 9b, 10b) along direction 6 is restrained by flexible locking device 11 that interlocks said sections (9, 10; 9a, 10a; 9b, 10b).
EFFECT: better adhesion with wet and ice-covered road surface.
