FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: proposed conveyor serves to maintain orientation of front edge of transferred article in changing conveyor direction. First conveyor belt 12 moves in first direction 22 to adjoin second conveyor belt that moves in second, transverses, direction. Both belts have deflecting rollers 28, 28' running on and about axles 30, 30' fitted at the angle to transfer direction, other than right angle. Deflecting rollers are moved on rolling on bearing surfaces running below them nearby the point whereat two belts adjoin. Deflecting rollers of the first ribbon direct the object to the second ribbon. Rollers of the second ribbon direct the object to the edge of the second ribbon. Article lying on both belts is turned by two sets of deflecting rollers acting on opposite ends of said article.
EFFECT: orientation of article front edge is maintained.
