SUBSTANCE: invention relates to designs of bunkers or pits, in particular, to their covers. Cover 5 comprises drive elements, at least, one edge section 8 and drive assembly. Moving elements run, at least, partially, above closed space and are arranged, in fact, parallel to each other to rotate and/or turn relative to edge section driven by drive assembly. Moving elements have such sires and are installed so that they make sure the possibility of possing and walking by the cover (5). Method of operating cover 5 consists in that loose material is fed thereon, while moving elements are driven to allow loose material to be unloaded there though.
EFFECT: higher reliability and expanded operating performances.
