FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shaping process. Glass material is placed on the profile board so that, at least, three points on bottom surface of said material stay in contact with shaping surface while its central part is separated from shaping surface. For lens with gradual increase in focal power, three points on bottom surface represent two points on the side related to far focal power reference point and one point relates to near focal power reference point. For monofocal lens, the entire surface of glass material bottom surface should stay in contact with shaping surface. Glass material is heated to deformation temperature. Glass material represents glass with spherical bottom and top surfaces. Profile board represents an arbitrary shape profile board.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of shaping.
