SUBSTANCE: lens-shaped element intended for wearing in front of the human eye comprises a refractive area exhibiting a first refractive ability based on the prescription for correcting abnormal refraction of the human eye, and a second refractive ability other than the first refractive ability so as to increase the defocusing of light rays; and a set of at least three optical elements. At least one optical element has the optical function of not focusing the image on the retina of the eye in order to inhibit the progression of abnormal refraction of the eye. The refractive area is formed as an area other than the area formed by the set of optical elements.
EFFECT: suppression or at least inhibition of the progression of abnormal refraction of the eye, such as myopia or hyperopia.
