FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: here is disclosed sound suppressor consisting of cylinder case rigidly coupled with end inlet and outlet branches with central partition. Inside the case is coated with a sound absorbing structure, while the central partition is made as a sound absorbing element with a frame also coated with sound absorbing material on both sides. Additionally, the frame of the sound absorbing element turns in plane perpendicular to a direction of aero-dynamic flow. The sound absorbing structure corresponds to cylinder perforated coaxial internal and external bushings, wherein between there is positioned a sound absorber made out of at least one profiled porous sheet; a profile of the sheet in cross section can be rectangular or trapezoidal.
EFFECT: raised efficiency of sound suppression due to setting chamber suppressor by means of sound absorbing element turn.
