FIELD: machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: muffler comprises a cylindrical body rigidly connected with the end inlet and outlet port, with a central partition, the body internally lined with sound-absorbing material, and the central dividing wall is formed as a sound absorbing member having a frame, which is lined on both sides with sound absorbing material. Skeleton sound absorbing element is pivotable in a plane perpendicular to the direction of motion of the aerodynamic flow. Sound-absorbing element on both sides faced with the sound absorbing structure comprising a smooth, perforated surface, between which is placed a multilayer sound absorbing structure, designed as rigid and perforated walls, between which are two layers: a reflecting layer adjacent to a rigid wall and sound absorbing layer adjacent to the perforated wall. The layers of sound reflecting material are made from complex profile composed of evenly distributed hollow tetrahedrons, allowing to reflect acoustical surges incident in all directions.
EFFECT: raised efficiency of noise suppression due to the chamber suppressor settings by means of the noise absorbing element turn.
