FIELD: machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: suppressor contains the cylindrical body rigidly connected with the end inlet and outlet pipes, with the central partition, the body internally faced with the sound-absorbing material, and the central partition is formed as the sound absorbing element, having the frame, which is faced on both sides with the sound absorbing material. The sound-absorbing core is rotatable in the plane perpendicular to the direction of the aerodynamic flow, the sound-absorbing element on both sides faced with the sound absorbing structure containing the smooth, perforated surface, between which the multilayer sound absorbing structure is placed, designed as the rigid and perforated walls, between which there are two layers: the reflecting layer adjacent to the rigid wall and the sound absorbing layer, adjacent to the perforated wall. The layer of sound reflecting material is made from the complex profile, composed of evenly distributed hollow tetrahedrons, allowing to reflect acoustical waves incident in all directions. The perforated wall has the following perforation parameters: the hole diameter - 3÷7 mm, the perforation percentage 10÷15%. According to the shape the holes can be made as the holes, having round, triangular, square, rectangular or diamond profile. In case of unround holes the nominal diameter shall be maximum diameter of circle inscribed in the polygon.
EFFECT: noise suppression efficiency improvement.
