FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: angle is converted to main and additional electrical signals with the same angular equivalents. A differential signal is generated from said signals in uniformly lying angular positions of the shaft in one or more restricted angular ranges. Each of the angular ranges which is a multiple or close to a multiple of a whole number of periods of the error spectrum of the main signal is selected. The low frequency component of the differential signal is picked up through its polynomial approximation. The low frequency component is subtracted from the differential signal. Parametres of the error spectrum of the main signal are determined from the subtraction result. The parametres are stored and extrapolated on the entire measurement range. A correction is created for any current value of the output signal and the angular equivalent of the main signal is corrected.
EFFECT: high accuracy.
