METHOD TO ASSESS DRAPABILITY OF SEWING TEXTILE AND TANNING MATERIALS Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC G01N33/36 

FIELD: textile, paper.

SUBSTANCE: method to assess drapability of sewing textile and tanning materials includes measurement of information parametre of drapability coefficient, its calculation with the help of value of specified coefficient and recording of produced data. As information parametre of drapability coefficient, quantity of standing waves formed at sample length is used, and waves are formed by generation of mechanical transverse oscillations applied to investigated and reference samples in the range of their own frequencies, and are fixed by means of optoelectronic system with recording of information into memory of processor. At the same time calculation of drapability coefficient of investigated sample of material is carried out according to the following logic: - coefficient of drapability of basic sample of reference length: - coefficient of correction of drapability of basic sample of reference length: A - linear size of width of cut of hanging part of sample of reference length, m_e - quantity of standing waves, passing along basic sample of reference size, m_i - quantity of standing waves at the length of i sample of material.

EFFECT: simplified procedure of measurement process preparation, reduction of its duration and simplified hardware equipment of method with simultaneous increase of accuracy and reliability of assessment of drapability, provision of possibility to form technological data base on electronic information media.
