FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: control is performed by means of test specimen made in the form of fault-free winding with external and internal coils with outputs, which are located on it and can be opened and closed. Availability of short circuit in controlled winding is judged as per the difference of measured electric parametres of controlled winding and test specimen. Electric parametres of test specimen are measured at various frequencies. At that, at open coils there measured are electric parametres of fault-free winding, and when each of coils is closed there measured are electric parametres of winding of test specimen with short circuit at location point of each of the above coils. As per the obtained data there determined is frequency range of the most difficult-to-detect defect and there used is the above range during measurement of electric parametres of controlled winding.

EFFECT: improving accuracy of rejection of windings with difficult-to-detect defects.
