FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medical equipment, namely to versions of eye implant, methods of its manufacturing, as well as to methods of delivery of therapeutic agent into eye. In accordance with the first version of realisation, implant includes drug core, containing therapeutic agent and having proximal end, distal end and intermediate part between them, as well as holding structure, linked to it or located around part of therapeutic core. In accordance with the second version, implant, in addition to drug core with therapeutic agent, includes implant cuff, spreading around drug core from proximal end to distal end, and capable of swelling in liquid holding element. In accordance with the third version, implant additionally includes implant body, which has internal cavity, and holding structure, which has protrusion; and envelope from material, which is impermeable for therapeutic agent. Method of manufacturing eye implant, in accordance with the first version of realisation, consists in obtaining drug core and linking or surrounding part of drug core by holding structure. Method of manufacturing in accordance with the second version consists in obtaining implant cuff, placement of drug core inside proximal end of implant cuff, and encapsulation of capable of swelling in liquid holding element. Method of therapeutic agent delivery into eye, in accordance with the first version of realisation, consists in installation of eye implant into eye cavity and release of therapeutic agent from drug core into eye, eye implant representing implant in accordance with one of three versions of realisation. In accordance with the second version method of delivery lies in installation of eye implant into eye cavity, release of efficient amounts of therapeutic agent from drug core into fluid of eye lachrymal film, removal of drug core from eye implant and connection of replaceable drug core to eye implant.
EFFECT: application of invention makes it possible to ensure more reliable retaining of implant in eye.
